Addmotor introduces new City Pro e-bike for commuters with ' miles of range'
Replacing cars as commuter vehicles is one of the best uses for electric bikes. Plus, it helps prospective riders add the confidence boost of electric pedal assist. Now Addmotor hopes to capitalize on the market with its own City Pro urban model electric bike.
Addmotor is generally known for more original designs , such as giant tire electric bikes or retro-style electric moped bikes .
But with the announcement of the new Addmotor City Pro, the company is planning a more traditional diamond-frame e-bike for metro-style riding .
The new model may look like a typical urban e-bike, but it comes with some features we normally only see on higher-spec models.
Features of the City Pro electric bike
The bike's V, Ah battery is much larger than those found in typical value-oriented electric city bikes .
The company claims that the Wh can offer up to miles ( km) of range in pedal assist, although that will likely be in the lowest power pedal assist mode.
Higher-power pedal assist or throttle-only operation is likely to get serious range thanks to a battery that's much larger than average.
The W motor is said to offer peak watts of power, allowing for strong starts and adequate climbing performance.
Hydraulic disc brakes are also included as standard, improving stopping power and reducing the bike's routine maintenance requirements.

Breaking the $K mark puts Addmotor somewhat above “value” e-bike territory, but the extra-large battery and inclusion of slightly better components, like hydraulic brakes, may sway riders who want an upgrade in comparison with the most affordable base, i.e. urban level electric bikes.
